Most momentous creed kids these duration seem more interested with cellphones than supercars, but there are still those who like to get down and off colour under the hood of a car. Juan Ehringer is captivating a Honda S2000 sports car, ditching the four-swim mechanism and replacing it with a impressive stirring drivetrain that will give it between 500 and 600 horsepower. Thatās perfectly the contract car. Jalopnik interviewed Juan , and the whole fashion is well importance reading. As you may have guessed, Juan isnāt your to be expected young lady; the kid has a pint-sized CNC province trap in his bedroom, and just reading the part of the discussion where he explains how he came to the power estimates manner of made my take the lead sad. It is securely to say that the kid knows his bunk. Juan picked the Honda S2000 up for lately $6,000 after explaining to the former P what he programmed. He convinced his parents to finance this beetle out car rather than buying him a commuter car, though Juan has had to put away long green from a one of part-chance gigs to damage together enough small change to receive the launch viable. Under the hood will be a 26 kWh mobile deck package, which Juan estimates will give him between 80 and 120 miles of driving order, and around 600 horsepower to take the role with. I positive in acme prepare my mom made it shining that I would not be driving any car with that kind-hearted of horsepower (or even partly that), so Juan must be absolutely lofty at smooth his parents to see things his way. 2001 Honda S2000 - Very Low Miles! For Sale
This is a low mileage S2000 with lots of Extras. Assess Reduced. Due to a mill stain Honda replaced the mechanism at ~40,000 miles with a manufacturer new backer machine so there is only 10,000 miles on it! Quiet top was updated with more novel plant glassware window copy as opposed to the prototypical pinchbeck window example which clouded up. New top does have some pint-sized tears at the effect points which is run-of-the-mill for a top of this age, but the order has been upgraded so a new compressible top is not an costly upgrade. Means also comes with red tailored car shelter (meant specifically for S2000's), a Neuspeed front prance bar, and the mill give way top run things for when the top is down. I also have some raise tub-thumper holders that go in the headrests that were never installed. The agency has been very well cared for and serviced. Since the mechanism replacement bogus oil changes ever 3000 miles. Over the last 1000 miles new: Front and Put up slow up pads and rear end rotors, New tires (OEM Bridgestone's), New Optima Yellow Top Freestyle, Oil Transform (Movable 1 Artificial), Windshield Wipers , A/C ice chilly, All scheduled contribution, Must see, No accidents, Non-smoker, Subhead in help, Very unpolluted inland, Well maintained.

YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO: HONDA S2000
25.05.13
It's perhaps fair to say that Honda has lost its way in terms of performance cars recently. Currently there is no Archetype-R model on sale, the CRZ is not really the successor to the CRX we hoped it to be (where's the Mugen rendition gone?) and, though it continues to wow at motor shows the world over, the rise of the 'new NSX' project is slow to say the least. As a bit of a VTEC fanboy it makes me rather sad, but the recognition of this £4k S2000 , however, makes me a lot cheerier. Imagine what a Honda dealership was like in 2000; yes, a restrained old Logo will have blighted your view, but the S2000 and two Type-Rs (the Integra and Mutual understanding) were available, and the NSX was presumably on offer somewhere in the dealer chain too. Now, in 2012, it's perhaps chock-full of Jazzes and salesman brimming with excitement at the thought of a new CR-V. Oh joy. An S2000 probably wasn't the best pick for a 'You Recall You Want To' come to think of it. These should be about cars that are a bit of a punt, purchases that are very much principal-risk and high-reward. But surely that only applies to the minor extent nervous handling with an S2000? Still, let's enjoy it for what it is. Our chosen car has a chintzy rear screen which can become milky and need replacing. Tiresomely, there are no pictures of the screen in this ad to assess the quality of this one. There were a couple of recalls also relating to the seatbelts and the hood but nothing eloquent. Apart from that, it's all about checking the basics with an S2000; a decent air force history using high quality fluids is a must and all right tyres are also advisable. The numb steering and high-hurry twitchiness of the S2000 won't help your confidence, so having dedication in your tyres would be good... But look at the upsides. A roadster that still looks today's and contemporary despite being launched in the last millennium, and one of the finest engines ever to find its way into a approach car, all secured with bombproof reliability. And, of course, that fantastic digital bound. This particular car, in black with black leather, is a very subtle S2000. Being picky, I'd lodge a red one but it's got tax and an MOT, service history, some recent new parts and its four thousand pounds. And it revs to 9,000rpm! Go on, you be sure you want to...

Honda S2000?
Mar 07, 2007 by munkler_1988 | Posted in Honda
I am thinking about getting a Honda S2000 to all intents around year 2000-2003 because that'll be the most I can afford. What are some strong points and some feeble points about it. Like maintenance or handling, or power, or gas, or anything like that.
Yeah the arrange is fine because I took out my backseats in my civic and built a plexiglass spieler wall so I can only hold two people now anyway. my civic has a b18c1 w/ header, vent, intake manifold, cai, and stage 2 clutch. How do you think it would do against an s2k? I fancy something with around the same amount of power or more so that's why. If you don't have a clue don't worry about it but thanks so far.
PRO:
-Neat looking car
-Not that many people have it
-puts out wonderful performance for a an NA 4-banger
-doubt the sanity suspension out the door
-Girls dig it (Only if u don't put the top down when they have their hair all done and nice....have faith me...haha)
-PERSONALLY, I like how all the climate controls are placed around the steering spin, very easy to navigate around while you're driving.
-This car gives you options, inescapable top or soft top depending on season.
-shifting is very precise compard to most cars.
-Can't mix the sound of hitting VTEC
Con:
-To be honest, its a little expensive for a convertible...I mean it still is a $34K car...not cheap.
-It's a nervous do in when it rains really hard and you don't have the proper tires on...my view...be super careful and just be wary about weather changes, the investment tires that come with your brand new S2k don't have the capacity to handle wonderful duper hard rain. Lots of ppl have lost their S2k"s for this reckon.
-It sucks when some of my friends need a ride home, but I can only take one traveller...so I have to take multiple trips at times...not a big deal if you don't have this problem, but i have lots of friends with no cars...trifling college students...haha.
-thieves want to nick your seats....and than key your car after they steal it cause its such a nice car...not kewl.

Can a Honda S2000 with proper snow tires survive Canada's winter?
May 25, 9499 by S2000FaN | Posted in Honda
I'm planning to buy a Honda S2000, but i abide in Markham, Ontario, im really concerned if i can drive it in the winter root i live alone so i wont buy another for winter.
It unequivocally isn't the ideal winter transportation but some nice fat snow tires....some sand belongings or other heavy items in the trunk.... and as said...keeping the rpms low should go a sustained way to helping you drive on paved snowy roads. On unpaved roads though..with more than 3 inches or so of snow.....your contemporary to have a clearance problem as those cars sit very low to the ground. If you can afford an S2000, you should quite go ahead and buy yourself a nice cheap winter beater for the snowfalls.

How many miles will a Honda S2000 run before it starts to have problems?
Apr 24, 2007 by frosty-pookie-eddy-eddy | Posted in Honda
I'm looking to buy a S2000. Now, I'm well au fait of Honda's legendary reliability. The DOHC VTEC's will damn musty to never break down.
Still, I wanted to find out the S2000's reliability as oppsed to the VTEC's, above all when the S2K's engine tends to rev a bit higher . I've seen them go for sale with 100K+ miles, so I'm assuming they do get there.
But how many miles does a S2000 run before encountering a notable engine or component problem? How reliable are they? And is it a good option for a used car?
Thanks guys! And let me know if anybody is looking to convey title their S2K!
If you're cull or have a secondary car, the S2000 is probably the best bang for the cash for a 2 door convertible sports car. I am a big domestic fan but I'm not ignorant; wanted a Trans Am WS6 for the longest even so but the S2000 won me over. Honda put alot of quality into making this car. It may rev to 9000rm(2000-2002) but it was built to rev that strong. The type R Integra has a similar redline and is still very reliable. If you'll mind, the S2K seems to hold it's value pretty well which seems to tell you they aren't discard. A car with 50k doesn't necessarily mean it was abused. It's actually most fitting quite the contrary. Someone who had the money to spend that much on the car when it was new probably moral used it as a weekend car and garaged it in bad weather being that it's a rear enterprise convertible that isn't so good to drive in bad weather. Let's face it, it's just now a toy, no more than that. There is no practical reason to own one. You can't even put a decent amount of luggage in the trunk. But for a toy, it's a very well built toy that is less simple as far as layout. The best way to tell if it was hot rodded and hurt is not so much the mileage, but whether or not it was modified. If it's pretty much bone stock with 50k on it, probability are, it was just driven and babied on a rainy day. After 100k, things will be more face down to wear out on it that you will have to replace regardless of how hard it's driven. I would look for a toughened 2000-2002 S2k with 40-60k on it. It's already depreciated in value and will bring you unprejudiced as much joy as buying a newer one as not too much as changed as say an 03' and up. They are a reliable car and the motor and transmission is pretty solid on them, even when driven somewhat untiringly. You will get plenty of years of reliable, fun transportation without the maintenance woes of a porsche boxster or BMW Z3. I'd say go for it and rat on carefully until you find the right price on one. They're out there and are fairly common to pick up. Most residents sell them not because they have problems, but because they have a family, or they need something more practical for routine use.
